Hello,
My PC has trouble going to the "Logon Screen" and there is a file called "FINIS_IT" on my hardrive. For example, when I turn my computer on it shows the companie's logo (in this case HP) then everything just goes black. This only happens sometimes. I've attatched my HijackThis log file below.

The "FINIS_IT" file is a notepad document and it says:

Finis - Starting
Finis checking for AuditBoot key
Finis AuditBoot key not 1
Application recovery mode
Finis completed

If you believe you have malware problems, please move to the Malware Forum and read the stickies located at the top, especially this one.
The guides will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. Then you can post a HijackThis log in THAT forum. Be patient, the Malware Forum is a very busy place and a two or three day wait is not unusual. Only after a three day wait may you move to The Waiting Room where you will be on the top of the list to be helped. A three day wait is 72 hours.. Make sure it has been over that amount of time, or your Waiting Room topic will be closed.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.

From what I can find online, FINIS_IT files aren't really known much about.. but a Txt file can't do any harm, as it cannot execute anything. I think it is just a log of something that was done. Something to do with HP maybe?

then everything just goes black

Does your computer or keyboard work? Does the computer appear to still be on, you just can't do anything? Could be an overheating problem.
