I can't use my mouse wheel to scroll anymore.

It doesn't work at all (on Firefox, IE etc etc).

I've had a search around and everything I've seen on the internet is of no help. It seems the driver is working fine. I checked the mouse options (there isn't a wheel option for some reason) and nothing there helped either.

I would wait to see what anyone else says, but sometimes they just break, I have a GE wireless and its starting to fail. If everything else works on the mouse, it may be time to buy a new one.

or if you have access to another one, hook that up and see if it works?

One of my older wireless ones broke one time, it wouldn't scroll at all and when I pressed in on it, it didn't "click" in. Think something inside moved..

THEN : I dropped it.

And it works again :)

I DON'T suggest this by the way... just random luck for me..
Does the wheel feel different at all? (looser, won't click in, or takes more effort to scroll?)

Can you please provide us with the Mouse brand/model?

It's a basic Microsoft mouse (Intellimouse 1.3A - PS/2 compatible).

The wheel feels normal, but it could well be that it is broken. I've got a wireless mouse that I haven't bothered to set up yet. I'll give that a go if I can't fix the wheel problem with this one.
