Hello,

I recently purchased an Asus x83v laptop with 4 GB RAM, Windows Vista 64-bit, and a Nvidia GeForce 9300 video card. I was playing Team Fortress 2 on battery power when I forgot to plug it in and battery gave up. System shut down and when rebooted got blue screen.

Proble Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.768.3
Locale ID: 1033

BCCode: f4
BCP1: 0000000000000003
BCP2: FFFFFA800A49C040
BCP2: FFFFFA800A49C278
Product: 768_1

A co-worker advised that maybe my graphics card might need updated drivers since every time it restarts, the resolution is all out of whack, but I checked that and has the most up to date drivers, so what can it be? Is this something that I can fix or should I return it since it is still under the 14 day return policy.

Help! lol

Thanx

If I get an exchange, will it more than likely occur again? I never had an Asus computer, so I'm not familiar with the brand. Am I better off with an HP or Dell?

All I know, you can't accept any 1 week old computer, which gives you BSOD.
Would you accept a new car, which breaks after 1 week?
