I have Windows XP. I see that my info says Windows ME. I've gone through all the cleaning steps that you recommended to no avail. An error pops up at intervals telling me that c.exe has to close. I have cable but all d/l's take forever if they ever finish at all. Constant errors when trying to do scans and when trying to install the program to do the scans. I d/l'ed Avast and it found trojans but I get an error when I try to move them to the chest, or any of the other options, so Avast can't fix the problems. It's almost as if something interferes with every fix I try (errors, etc.) Internet Explorer takes forever to come up. The task manager shows nothing running in the background. It's totally blank. More problems are happening all the time. I've saved logs of everything you've requested in your guide to cleaning. Any help would be appreciated.
