hello eveyone!
i have a bit of a problem with my windows xp

everytime i turn on the computer it tells me it was turned off unproperly or it was a power outage etc.
it tells me to choose safe mode, or start normally
i've tried safe mode and start windows normally but everythime it gets to the windows loading screen the blue bar thing moves but then stops and restarts
i've been having this problem for a week

when i choose safe mode all the letters appear but then it suddenly restarts again

when i choose start windows normally it shows this

bu then the blue bar stops and it restarts again

i've tried going to system restore but it won't load

please help!

So it shows the Windows loading screen, blanks out and reboots? Sounds like a drive failing. Run Drive Fitness Test.

thanks for the help but I can't login to my computer so how am I suppost to do the test?

The test is performed when you are not even in Windows.
I suggest using Seatools for doing a hard drive diagnostic though.

Download the ISO CD-ROM IMAGE EN Graphical file.
Then burn the file you downloaded to a disc using BurnCDCC: http://www.terabyteu...ee-software.htm
Then boot your computer with the CD in the CD drive, and let Seatools start up. Run a long diagnostic.

Give me the results from the diagnostic once it completes.

Looks like a windows problem to me. If the test suggested above don't help then boot into recovery console and run chkdsk /r (please note the space in the command).

I have seen both hard disk and filesystem problems cause the problem described.
Chkdsk should make sure that your filesystem is intact. Hope we can get the problem sorted out.

how do i boot into recovery console and run chkdsk /r?
when it starts up or when the safe mode option thing shows up?
or do i go into boot seting or system restore?

probly a driver or service. whens the last time the system was checked for malware? do you have any AV?

I'm not too sure since his computer won't boot into Windows.

What are the results from the hard drive diagnostic?

Click on Recovery Console Instructions in my sig for instructions on how to burn a copy of the Recovery Console. Then boot from the disc, and go into the Recovery Console... should be on the Windows Setup blue screen... should say press R. Then choose your Windows installation, enter the admin password, and type in:
chkdsk /r
This will take a while to complete. DO NOT interrupt the process.

ok so i finally got a blank disc and got the recovery console on it by following the instructions

when i put the disc in my computer it told me to press a button to boot the cd
then the blue screen came up... it asked me to install windows xp ect. i found the option that said press r and ii pressed r
the blue screen went to a black screen and it just had some instructions ans c/ or something like that
i typed in chkdsk /r and it said the volume appears to contain one or more unrecoverable problems

i searched online what it meant and i'm guessing it's not good...

i've also had some people take a look on my computer and told me to either by a new hard drive or a new computer

Then boot from it... go through the disc and find the Testdisk utility.
