I have a PC that is disconnecting from the network for no reason and out of the blue. Only programs on it is the Point-of-Sale software and the drivers for the motherboard.
The software will run perfectly fine for a couple days then all of a sudden get supper slow and crash by not being able to connect with the server… we then wait a minute and restart the program and it usually works fine. However sometime we do have to restart the PC to get things back to normal.
I just updated the LAN driver and installed a brand new cable running it to the gigabyte switch… but it’s still acting up. And what is even odder is when I first did this it would run at 1 gig, but in the past 2 weeks it stays connected at 100meg. Even after I restart the PC and manually turn off the LAN and restart it.
Specs:
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L
CPU: Dual-Core Intel 775 (can’t remember the exact speed)
RAM: 4 gig Corsair
LAN: using on-board
Thanks for the help all!
