Computer wont load any disc's

When I put a cd or dvd into my computer it will not load it, I go through my computer to try to manually load it but that doesnt work either

Have you tried to reinstall drivers?

Did you check CD-DVD drive power cable and data cable? Are they plugged in firmly?
Look in Windows Event Viewer (start-->run-->eventvwr.msc-->OK), under System tree. Are there any errors specific to CD-DVD drive?
