Hi,
i was wondering if i could connect my laptop which has internet into my desktop computer which is not hooked up with inernet with a USB cord. By plugging them into each other would that give my Desktop internet??

No. The only way to do a joint internet connection, is you will need a special cable called a crossover cable to make it work without a router or hub.

Then one computer must ping the other's IP so it can connect each other.
