I have been getting this blue screen with bad_pool_caller error on my HP DV9000 laptop.
I reformatted the hard drive and reinstalled windows, Now everytime the laptop is put in hibernation, I get the error message. I am not sure if it's related but I also noticed that the wireless card would fail sometimes, I lose connectivity while my wife's laptop has no issues. I have to disconnect and reconnect again.
I updated my nvidia driver and ran sfc /scannow and did not receive any error messages.

Any help is appreciated.

PS: I tried to attach my zipped mini dump files but i was not allowed. "Upload failed. You are not permitted to upload this type of file"

Hibernate is not supported by your video card. I would recommend to use Hybrid Sleep instead.

Thanks for the reply.
I was not thorough in my previous explanation. My video card supports hibernate. Well, at least it did before I reformatted.
Your reply helped me in searching for the solution.
I came across this Microsoft article

Here is a brief description: You have problems after you resume a Windows Vista-based computer from sleep or from hibernation

Solution: install a hot fix or upgrade to service pack 2.
I upgraded and now the error message is gone.
Advice: Be patient, it takes a while.

Again, your quick reply is much appreciated.
