I can not sign into windows live messenger from my laptop i have vista basic can anybody help please?I am wireless.

Some details would be helpful...

You have a stable internet connection? What error message does it give you when you try to sign on? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling? Is your messenger up to date? Can you sign into the online msn page here with your account? Has it always been this way - or just happened recently?

Got it sorted the trouble was Windows service pack 2

Also, due to the latest Bing update, version of Live messenger need updated to the latest version.
