Dell D610 latitude Laptop
Pentium 4 M processor speed 1.73ghz and 1 GB of RAM

When I bought this pc it was running very fast now it takes 10 minutes to boot and the cpu goes to 100% when I either browse the internet or doing multiple task on pc such as using word and browsing internet at the same time.

Task I've done to fix it:
Degrag
Registry Cleaner
Used a Startup Program to stop programs from starting at boot
Fix Hard drive errors which were few b/c it's a new harddrive
well a couple of months old but I since it freezes I have to hard shut the laptop down which is causing the errors on harddrive.
Antivirus
Spyware/Malware Cleaner
Deleted old programs or programs I don't need

Here is also a Hijack log I don't know how to read it but I'm posting it.

Any Help is certainly appreciated. Right now I don't know what to do next.

Hi there. I see you are fairly new, so Welcome :) to Geeks To Go!

Your HijackThis log was removed by a moderator, because it was clean, and because it does not belong in this forum - but rather the Malware forum. No big deal.

1. I would like to recommend you to not use registry cleaners. Many of the problems that we see here, involve the use of registry cleaners. The damage done by registry cleaners is just not worth it. You will be doing yourself a favor by removing it.

Please read the following posts about registry cleaners:

2. Download and install EVEREST
Open it.
1: In left pane expand Computer folder.
2: Click once on Summary
3: In upper menu, go Report
4: And then to Quick Report-Summary
5: Save it in text file, and paste it in your next post.

DO NOT INCLUDE ANYTHING UNDER THE LINE THAT SAYS "DEBUG- PCI"

3. How to use CodeStuff Starter to view services and startup items:

  • Please download and install CodeStuff Starter
  • Run Starter by finding it on your start menu after it is installed.
  • When the program opens, you will see three tabs on the main screen (Startup, Processes, Services)
  • Please click the Startup tab and make sure that All Sections is selected on the left hand side under the sections view pane.
  • Once the Startup tab and all sections is selected, please click the File menu and choose Save as HTML.
  • Please save the file to your desktop and call it startup.html.
  • Now, please click the Services tab.
  • Once the Services tab is open, please click the File menu and choose Save as HTML.
  • Please save the file to your desktop and call it services.html.
  • Now that both files have been saved to your desktop, close CodeStuff Starter.
  • Locate the startup.html and services.html files on your desktop. Both files can be attached to the forum, as is. Please do so in your next reply.

-----
Please include the following in your next reply:

1. Everest report
2. startup.html, services.html from CodeStuff Starter.
