im trying to reinstall xp pack 3 on my pc unfortunatly the pc cant find the cd wich i got xp on it.i changed the bios to read from cd ,when it start it says press any key to boots from cd as soon as i press a key it autamtically start my window wich is already instaled wich i want to get rid of it.then i tried to take the xp disk out to see what my pc would do, when i restart my pc it says operation system not found.Of course the bios set to read from cd that why it cant find the operation system, but why as soon i insert cd instead of boots up from cd, it start automaticaly my installed window.As a new to computers im learning how to install opearation system.
Any idea?

If you are still booting straight into your Windows installation and not going into the blue Setup screen after you see "Press any key to boot from CD..." then you are either not pressing a key quickly enough or your keyboard is malfunctioning. Does your keyboard work once in Windows?

thanks for u hint.
i have got 3 keyboards i tried all of them.its works fine wen windows is on.
when windows is on its give the option to reinstall it,i got message on the sreen that the copy of this file already installed. i suppose i can install it wen the window is on.i just wondering why it doesnt boots to the cd and also in bios the only option i left is cd cancelled all other.
I have no clue for this just curios.
