my computer froze on me while surfing the web, i had to hold the power button to turn it off. When i restarted my computer it got as far as the windows loading screen and froze again. I held the power button to turn it back off, left it a few seconds (by this point the lights on the keyboard were still on). When i powered up again the harddrive spun up, all the fans came on, however the monitor displayed nothing, and there was no "beep" from inside the computer, which i think indicates that it has not loaded the boot strap loader or something :S.

After noticing the keyboard lights still on, I turned the computer off and then turned the PSU switch to the off position. When I done this i head what sounded like a click from inside the computer. When I powered back up i got past the ram check screen and moved on to "start in safe mode, start windows normally etc", I selected Start normally, and then nothing.

Now my computer is dead to the world, when i power up the hard drive spins up cd rom comes to life, no beeping at all.

I had a look inside, there were no obvious signs of dammage that I could see.

I then disconnected my CD rom, hard drive and graphics card and tried booting up again, and nothing.

I swithched the DIMM slot my RAM was plugged in and nothing.

I tried plugging in my hard drive graphics and cd rom one by one and turning on the power and nothing.

OS: Vista
Memory: DDR2 667mhz 2GB
Harddrive: SATA 150GB - with a partition for restoring windows
CPU: AMD Core2 Duo 1.93Ghz
Graphics card: Asus, 256Mb (cant remember what it is)

I think the problem is with either my cpu, or more likely my mother board.

Any help would be great, and if you need more info ill try my best to get it to you.
