My network has the following.
DSL modem
1 - Linux Mandriva 2009 PC wired
1 - MS 7 PC wired
1 - MS XP Laptop and wireless
1 - HP 2300dn printer wired to the DSL modem.
Both PC's and laptop communicate with the printer.

I need to add 2 Aspire One's w/MS XPHome netbooks to the system.
They go online wirelessly with no problems.
I can not get either of them to talk to the printer.

Downloaded, installed and tried every driver HP has for the 2300.
With firewall on and off.
Firewall is set with an exception for the HPLaserJ port - 9100
ping 192.168.0.1 works from Acer netbooks
ping 169.254.84.xxx does not - printer ip address.

Any help appreciated.
