Hi,

I have a desktop computer. My desktop computer was infected by Win32:vitro worm and i think other possibly by other trojans too. I had ran Avast antivirus tool and MalwareBytes AntiMalware tool to remove the Win32:vitro worm. When i ran these two tools, they had asked me to restart the computer to facilitate deleting some files on boot up. But when i restarted, i am now not able to login anymore. The windows page appears, then my desktop background appears but then immediately i am logged out automatically. Now i am unable to access my account in my desktop computer. A login/logoff loop is occurring.

I searched through alot of other websites and got to know that there is no solution to solve this problem. The only solution seems to be wipe clean the hard drive, reformat and reinstall everything. I think i also need some sort of recovery cd to boot up my computer now. Can someone give me direction on how to go about doing this, as i have never reinstalled my computer before.

Since my current infected harddrive is very small at only about 20GB, and since the entire harddrive seems to be infected now, i am thinking of simply buying a new bigger hardrive and replace the old infected harddrive and simply reinstall windows into the new harddrive to solve the problem.

I need your help to do either one of this solutions
1)Repair my computer and try to get rid of Win32:vitro worm without the need to reformat the harddisk
2)OR Wipe clean and reformat the entire harddisk drive and reinstall windows
3)OR to buy new bigger harddrive and install a clean copy of windows

I need your help to do any one of this to solve my problem.
