My older computer is a HP523n. It started shutting down while on line.
I can click on something like a email to open and it will shut down. Not every time. It may go 30 seconds after coming on line and do it or it might do it in 30 minutes or 60 minutes but it will shut down.
It always shuts down as a result of a left click on mouse or hitting a key function like SHIFT. And it won't do it every time.

I've called and went through hours of diagnostics with AOL folks several times and they sent me a new AOL disc that I uploaded. It still does it.

I also have Norton 360 which reports no problems?

It only does it on line and that I can remember has never done it off line working. Both our computers use same line.

Anybody got any ideas. :)

Did this problem start after you installed Norton360?

Also - you may want to use the online AOL client[ at : www.aol.com ] rather than using their actual program for the computer. Their software is known to conflict with others and is a high resource consumer.

Let me know
