Hello!

I have been having some problems with my PC lately, and it is progressively getting worse. In the past month I have gotten the Blue Screen of Death twice (one yesterday) but I have been able to restart ok, but I am scared something is very wrong and need your help!

My computer is acting extremely slow, and making lots of noise while it's working. My CPU usage goes very high, especially when I have I.E. open, and then freezes, so I have to end the I.E. process by terminating the iexplore.exe process because even "end task" doesn't work.

Additionally, my paging file using keeps creeping up. When I turn on the computer, it's initially low, but within about 2-3 minutes it's up way high and stays that way.

One time, with only 2 programs open, I got a notification saying that my virtual memory was too low. That doesn't seem like it should be the case.

Please help! I don't know what else to do. Thank you so much :)

Hi jcricket. Welcome to G2G!

What is your computer model number? Do you know the specs for your system?

Wrong forum for posting logs..

I suggest that you start a new topic in the Malware Removal and Spyware Removal area.

Before you start a new topic click on this link --> Malware and Spyware Cleaning Guide, Please read before starting a new topic. This will give you a few preparations to make, as well as instruction for posting your OTListIt2 log.

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).

Oh okay, thank you! I didn't know which forum to try first... was just trying to cover all my bases. I'll try posting there and see if that's the problem or if it's something else. Thank you!

I had a similar problem and fortunately found a solution.

When I run Inkscape v 0.48, the page file usage was too high: any move I made in the program cause a increase in the page file usage. And after few seconds the program crashed.

The problem was the color depth: I was using 16 bits. As soon as I changed to 32 bits, the problem disappeared

This thread is from a LONG time ago. This is called grave digging when you find a old thread and post on it.

Please create a NEW thread for YOUR problem. Not add on to there's. When you post, I'll be happy to assist you at that point.
