I am checking out a used laptop to possibly purchase, and when I boot up I get the following message: PXE-E61 Media Test Failure, Check Cable. PXE-M0F Exiting Broadcom PXE ROM. Then the computer boots correctly. I looked this message up, and apparently people are having trouble booting, often because of an HDD problem. Should I be concerned about this since everything seems to be working properly?

Go to BIOS. Make sure, that the boot order reads: floppy, CD, HD
Disable Boot from Network (wording is different on every machine, may say Integrated NIC, Network, PXE-xxxxxxx)

Thank you for the instructions. I did that and the message has disappeared.
