Hi everyone I am new to forms and chats so please bear with me. I have an Acer 5000 with winxp and it is about 4 years old. I is now giving me a lot of problems with downloading zip files and with the viewing videos. Many times I can't download files messages said "can't download file disconnected from the server". Video stop playing, freeze in the middle, if I restart they stop at the same place. Videos are telling me to download Adobe Flash and when I try to the message is "download failed". When I follow the instructions to go to security and check off ActiveX prompts it still won't download. I also get a message saying virtual memory low and 'appliction failed SiSBase.dll was not found'. I use Sprint Broadband for internet service. They have given me a new card and I still have the same problems. I don't think the card is the problem. Any suggestions?

Thanks Tunukwa

Download and install EVEREST
Open it.
1: In left pane expand Computer folder.
2: Click once on Summary
3: In upper menu, go Report
4: And then to Quick Report-Summary
5: Save it in text file, and paste it in your next post.

Looks like the devices troubled with a SISBase.dll problem:

SiS XXX_XXX_XXX_XXX (Any series of numbers)

SiS XXX (any number) PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter

--

Use the above method for device manager and let me know for sure if you have the ethernet adapter failing or having a warning exclamation.
