vista running heaps of processes

I got my computer about 3 days ago i think and i just checked too see how many processes it was running and right now its a massive 81 when i turn it on its around 74-76.

I disabled a fair amount of services (i was very careful i didn't disable important ones) but 81 processes!!! seems maddness....

Does anybody know of any ways to reduce the amount of processes run please?

I am running vista home premium sp1, 64 bit, with 4gb ram, dualcore 2.53ghz.
