Hey Emma; welcome to G2G :)

but when ever i try the command prompt on my computer, all i get is
c:\Windows\system32>

This is normal; however once you have typed all of the commands into the command prompt, you should find a new file on your C: drive called results.txt which should contain the results of the commands you typed. Simply copy/paste the contents of this file into your next response.

What exactly is the issue you are experiencing? What's going wrong / not working? When did it start happening?
