I calculated the difference between two dates. The result for eg. is "56". I would like to capture the "56" in another cell. Once I capture it (eg. =D4) I need to convert that "56" from a date format to a number format. Any ideas??

Thanks.

Hi, if you want to convert from a date format to number....right click the cell you want the number in, select 'Format cells'...under category: select 'number' and then select 'decimal places=0' since you are working with whole days. You can also format cells by using the 'Format' drop down at the top of the spread sheet and selecting 'cells'
hope this answers your question??!!

if all else fails you can do a paste special, but that can be a little messy.
