Hi GeeksToGO

BSOD appears every time I start up windows it says that

UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME
*** STOP: 0x000000ED (0x8634EC08,0xC000009C,0x00000000,0x00000000)

I can't access Safe Mode because BSOD also appears.
I don't have an Windows XP cd (but I have a DVD burner if I can find a place to download).
I tried Last Know Config but it still goes to BSOD

I think it is because of me fixing the registry using ccleaner and I didn.t bakup the registries.

OK the good news is I can start it up in debugging mode ^^ but I can't start up normally.

I need Help.

Where is your XP cd as you are going to need it. A burner will do you no good as there are no legal sites to download XP from.

do we really need the cd?

or do we just need the Chkdsk stuff only?

What brand of computer is it?
If it is an HP they don't give you a disk there is a mirrored image of the OS on the hard drive.
Turn on the compurer and tap about once a second F10 and it will take you to the restore program.

Look at the computer case. Does it say Dell? Gateway? HP? or anything else.

Try what I said in post#4
Shut down the computer.
Turn it back on and tap F10 about once every second.
It should take you to a recovery program.
Follow the instructions for a non destructive recovery.

If it's a HP computer you probably didn't get a cd. They put a mirrored copy of the OS behind a hidden partition on the hard drive. You access it by using the F10 key on your keyboard when you turn the computer on. Before the computer starts to boot.
