Hi, I keep getting the error: "The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error." when trying to open or copy anything from a removable drive.

Tried it with a flash drive. I cannot open it by double click or by right-clicking then choosing 'open.' The only workaround that allows me to view its contents is by right-clicking then choosing 'explore.'

However, with my memory card for my camera, nothing even happens when I right click it. The options do not show. Double-clicking it gives me the I/O message above :) . Now I don't even have a way to copy my pictures to my PC T_T .

I'm pretty sure the problem has something to do with my PC, because the drives open with no problem when I'm using my brother's laptop.

Thanks for any suggestions... :)
