This is my first post here so please bear with me. Recently my LCD screen cracked so i purchased a new 100% compatible one and replaced it. When i turn on my laptop the fans start to make sound but the screen stays black. The screen is lit up but just stays black. So then i tried hooking it up to my tv but my tv won't even recognize the computer and says "No signal check the external input or select another input using the INPUT button." So i just unplugged it and put my old broken screen back in. Funny thing is when i turn on my old screen it turns on and the top left section of the laptop is fine and in that section it shows the colors and my mouse too. This is all on the page where you choose the account to log into on Windows Vista (but i cant do that because the screen is cracked and wont show up right). So what could be wrong. Any help appreciated (Laptop model Acer Aspire 3680_

Well, it sounds like the replacement screen is not 100% compatible, and you should send it back.
