Generic Host Process for Win32 Services error everytime I boot up, and no sound. My onboard sound card is shown in device manager and it says it's working properly but when I open up the volume control, for example, it says : no sound device installed. nforce control panel says :nforce audio not reported. I've re-installed the sound driver but nothing changes. Also: iTunes no longer plays files, Quicken will not open, and Windows Movie Maker will not start. This all seemed to happen when my daughter was editing a movie with Movie Maker. I've done multiple scans with AdAware, Panda, Avast and found a few things but nothing major. I'm running Windows xp sp3. Any suggestions?

I suggest that you start a new topic in the Malware Removal and Spyware Removal area.

Before you start a new topic click on this link --> Malware and Spyware Cleaning Guide, Please read before starting a new topic. This will give you a few preparations to make, as well as instruction for posting your OTListIt2 log.

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
