running vista 64, medis center doesn't find any extenders, turned off firewall no help, router is setup to allow upnp, checked that correct services are running in auto. not sure what else to check.
did install teaming driver, but don't think that is the problem, only 1 cat5 connected now due to 2 were slowing down internet connection.

system specs
Ga-ep45-ud3p
2 wd 640gb raid
q6700
8 gb ram
nvidia 9800 gtx
hauppauge tv card

My computer only detects the xbox 360 when it is powered up. If the xbox isn't powered up the system won't see it.

Try going through all these steps if you haven't already. Also, do you know if your router is recognizing both the xbox 360 and the computer?

I assume you are using a wired connection. Try disabling ICS on your system. Here's the link to Microsoft's website. Link

What version of vista are you using?
