I have a HP Media Center and PC Doctor did note that my hard drive was Samsung SP2004C. Over a period of time, when I would exit out of Internet Explorer, 98% of the time there would be an issue closing and I would always select 'Send Error Report'. I had reinstalled to fix any problems with IE v 7.xxx whatever the latest/greatest version is. It still continued.
Last night was the final draw. I was on Facebook and did a posting, clicked on logout, the fan motor was really humming and was locked up (this always occurred when exiting IE as well) so I had to manually turn off the computer. Left it off for approximately 3 minutes, turned it back on and now get a vicious circle when trying to boot up. Black screen with verbage stating Windows didn't shut down correctly so did I want to go into Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, etc. It defaulted to Start Windows Normally. After digesting the verbage, I selected the default. It would go to the Windows XP screen like it was going to boot up, then I would get the 'No Signal' little blue box and would take me back to the black screen with verbage to start with Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, etc. I tried the Esc and Setup keys then went with F10 and did the PC Doctor. Everything looked pretty good but then it gave me the Error Code HD521-2W.
I don't have any disks as they did not come with the computer, it's over the warranty period and yeah I know..shame on me I didn't create a bootable disk. So, HELP!!!
