Security Software Supported in 64-Bit Systems?

64-Bit systems are getting more and more common, especially in pre-built systems from manufacturers such as Dell and HP.

I've read (on another site outside of GtG), that some Anti-Virus programs are not supported/will not work in 64-Bit systems. Has anyone found this to be true?

I'm helping my church choose a new computer for media stuff, and I'm leaning more towards a 64-Bit system because of the amount of memory it supports. However, I want to make sure that we will not have any software incompatibilities with the programs that we are currently using.
