Broni,
FYI, I went in and removed numerous programs that I never use. Also I noted that the external hard drive that I download music from would not cut off. I shut the computer off and removed this external hard drive and went to a different external hard drive - viola! I am able to record on both E and F drives and both play in my car.

Should I destroy the first external hard drive or is it easily salvagable? I'm almost afraid to touch anything after this past week long experience.

Don't touch anything, or this time 50 lashes will come for real :)
