New laptop, only few months old. Only have AVG installed and runs about every other night. Lately, past few days, doing tasks on the internet has been going slow. E-mail sending, loading of pages. Thought it was the connection so I reset the modem, unplugged from wall and what not. Still slow. Computer itself runs fine, just tasks on the internet. Tried using Chrome instead of Firefox, still slow.

So what is the first step or program I should download/run to check for any spyware or unneeded/unwanted things.
