Toshiba laptop shows Toshiba and processor logo then goes black

I was given this laptop and asked to take a look at it. There is no spin of CD or HD. The Logo shows up, green lights for mouse and bat light then goes to a black screen. I tied removing bat and reset. Would the MB be the issue? Anything else I should look at. Thanks

I think its hardware related. May be you need check mother board. I recommend you to contact nearest service centre.
