Hello,

I will be getting a new laptop soon, but I wanted to be sure that it would run the Sims 3 okay. There are two that I am considering for the same price. The only major difference between them was that one has an Intel Pentium Processor and the other has a Intel Pentium Dual-Core Processor. So I was wondering if there was a difference between the two processors that would affect how the game will run?

The system specifications for the first one are as follows:

Processor: Intel® Pentium®
Processor Speed: 2.0GHz
System Bus: 800MHz
System Memory (RAM): 2GB
Hard Drive Size: 160GB
Operating System: Windows Vista Home Premium with SP1
Graphics: Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD

and the system specifications for the second one are:

Processor: Intel® Pentium® Dual-Core
Processor Speed: 2.16GHz
System Bus: 800MHz
System Memory (RAM): 3GB
Hard Drive Size: 160GB
Graphics: Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD
Operating System: Windows Vista Home Premium with SP1

So my question basically is, will either one of these have any issues running the Sims 3? Thanks in advance for your help.

hey, yes that laptop should be able to run it, but under the requirments for vista you really need a 2.4ghz processor
