I want to order a barebones computer from 3btech.com and I am wondering if the hardware I have selected supports Ubuntu because I read somewhere that there is limited hardware support for linux.

can't see why not, i think its more than enough,
ubuntu only needs a 1.2 ghz cpu and just under 512 mb of ram for the 'special effects' (with a vid card),

i run mandriva linux with a 3.4 ghz p4 cpu and 2 gb ram - my system only recognizes 1 gb and i have full working compiz, the cpu is hardly used

(but i would opt for the dvd drive though)
