Hi, I'm new to this forum.

I just installed a new HP 1140i DVD/CD burner. Here's the problem. It will play purchased audio CD's just fine but when I put a DVD in, it will play the video but no audio.

I have tried numerous DVD's all with the same result.
I have updated the drivers.
I have checked on HP's support site.
I have said naughty words.
Nothing is helping.

Can you help?

Thanks much.

What player do you use? It sounds like codec problem.
See, if VLC Player will work fine: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
