BackDoor.Generic11.ZNE infected now computer continues to restart repe

Last night after a Windows Update I became infected with BackDoor.Generic11.ZNE and another virus called FakeAlert.LN. AVG was able to rid of the FakeAlert but not BackDoor.Generic11.ZNE. After several attempts I decided to back up all of my files before trying to do an AVG scan in safemode, I am glad I did.

I did the scan in AVG in safemode, restarted my computer and now it will not even boot. I get a blue screen after Windows XP boot screen comes up. Not even in safemode will my computer start. As of now it is not functional and I am wondering what I need to do. I would post logs etc, but my laptop will not get past the boot up screen.

I am running Windows XP SP3 on a Compaq Presario v5000.

Thanks for the help in advance, I really need it.
