Hi everyone,

I've got a Samsung syncmaster 2253BW (22") with native resolution of 1680x1050. I'm trying to connect this up nicely with my laptop (native 1280x800).

I've installed the latest driver for my VIA Chrome9 Integrated HC graphics, although there were several drivers under this 'card' and I wasn't sure which to install (i settled on the P4M900 one). I also installed the latest monitor drivers.

Now the problem is that when I select the native resolution for the external monitor, it looks VERY off. The screen goes "off the screen" if that makes sense. Like it doesn't fit onto the samsung mon. Example pics:

Then I changed it to a slightly lower resolution 1440x900 (which worked fine on a previous install) - it now looks like its shrunk away from the edges on one side of the monitor, and disappears off the screen on the other side. Example:

So now, I'm using 1280x960 and it fits, but its stretched out sideways...
Sorry for the large pictures, but it describes the problem much better.

Thanks very much for any help at all!! :)
