My boss's computer is running Windows XP Media Edition and Office 2000. When he goes to attach a file and browse the contents of his C drive, his window for the attachments does not respond. For example, in an email message, he hits the attachment button and the window for the attachment pops up. Then he chooses the C drive in the pull down, it shows all of the folders in his C drive, but if you go to click on one, it does not respond to the action. Click once more and it show "(Not Responding)" at the top of the Title Bar. This lasts for about ten seconds or so then you can continue browsing for the attachment. I have tried running the detect and repair function within Outlook to no avail. I am able to browse his C drive from the desktop going to My Computer, then choosing the C drive and choosing folders without experiencing any of this problem, therefore, I am almost sure that it is a problem with Outlook, but I could be wrong. Anyone have any ideas?
