I am running Windows XP Media Center Version 2002 on SP2. When I attempt to access network connections settings of an internet connection (both wireless and plugged in) a message pops up.

I have already tried to fix it by using the Microsoft support site.

I am fairly sure it has nothing to do with drivers or my wireless card.

Please no anwsers that need the XP disc. Due to a virus I just reformated with an old recovery disc from a different computer. I have scanned with Spyware Doctor and Malware Bytes so I also doubt it is any type of virus/malware causing it. I have checked my registry with Advanced SystemCare.

Hi Michaelroocs...welcome to Geeks To Go... :)
this happened because the recovery cd you used does not belong on your system...it installed hardware drivers for whatever system it was meant for...not the hardware on your system
get another screenshot of the error and use this guide on the easy way to post it in these forums...
