Service pack 2 has disappeared from my computer. I have been unable to find it in the add/remove software portion of the control panel. I have tried to install it but always get an error message which reads: Unable to read from or write to database. A second error message then appears stating: Service Pack 2 installation did not complete. Windows XP is the operating system I am using. I have no clue why it disappeared from my computer. The only service pack currently installed is service pack 1.
