if you take it somewhere it can be fixed (expensive for a laptop) what kind of laptop maybe you just disabled it or something. Im talking over a 100 dollars and that doesn't include the price that the store will charge for the service. Better off getting an external dvd burner if you have usb 2.0 i got a dvd burner for $99.
