I have WinME on my computer...I have used AVG for several years, but as you know it no longer works with WinME...
I was searching for a Free Virus Program to download...I downloaded Avast...My computer kept freezing up...so I deleted all of that...Then I downloaded Avira...after downloading and going to setup...it came up and said I needed a updated windows to run it...
Is there a Free Virus Program, that I can download that will work with my WinME?
Thanks for any help

At the moment Avast is the only solution going for Windows ME, and even that will be stopped at the end of the year which from a security point of view effectively makes the OS totally vulnerable as you will get nothing that can run on it. Realistically ME is an old operating system, no new hardware works on it, current programs don't run on it and it was never a very good operating system anyway.

Howdy:

RISING AV is a free av program that will work on Win98 all the way to Vista.

I use it on both my Vista Ultimate systems and my XP system.
