I have Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow and Medal of Honour Allied Assualt on my PC and I can not get rid of them. I am really only worried about the Spnlinter Cell one as it looks huge to my uneducated eyes... 1806.00 MB.

Splinter Cell never worked and now that I am not sharing my PC I'd like to get rid of what others put on it. If any one has any idea's I would appreciate hearing them. Just please remember I really do not know much about computers and simple instructions would work best for me.

Thank you,
Ali

Hi,

Welcome to GeeksToGo.

To uninstall the game:
  • Click Start > Control Panel
  • In control panel look for Add/Remove Programs or if your using Vista Programs and Features.
  • When the list loads up look for Splinter Cell
  • Double click to begin the uninstall process.
  • Follow the on screen instructions
This will then remove the game from your PC

I did try this before posting my original message. Using the remove/uninstall option in Add and Remove Programs was the only way I knew how to remove something but it doesn't work.

Hi,

That's not a problem there's other things that can be done.

Can I just ask why cant you uninstall via Add/Remove programs?. Is there an error of some kind?

Hi...

When I go to Splinter Cell in the Add/Remove programs and select remove, it looks like everything is fine for a few seconds and then a message comes up:
Setup DLL|Setup DLL.cpp(445)
PAPP: Splinter Cell Pandora
PVENOR: UBISOFT (http:www.ubicom)
PGUID: 084A9731-DO58-4ADA-B4AO-OADD25FD7152
$7.1.100.1248
@Windows XP Service Pack 3(2600) BT-OTHER 0.64

....the only option is to click OK and then the following comes up...

Setup has experienced an error.
Please do the following:
Close any running programs
Empty temporary folder
Check Internet Connection (Internet Based Setups)
Then Try Setup again
ERROR CODE: 5001

I'm trying to remove the program...but both messages make reference to SETup???

Ok then,

I'm going to recommend a program to use but first we will try and stick with Windows as it will make the process easier.

First lets test for a temp file problem.
  • Download CleanUp
  • I would advise you make a backup of your files before proceeding. Click HERE for more info
  • Then run the cleanup installer and follow ~These Instructions

Then try running the installer again.

  • If you still have the disk for Splinter Cell then inset that into your CD drive
  • Then go to My Computer and Right click the icon for your CD drive
  • Choose Explore.
  • Then look for a file that's called Setup.exe
  • Double click that to run it.
  • Then if a box comes up from there choose to either repair or reinstall the program.

If this works repeat the process with Allied Assault.
Then once it is reinstalled try and then uninstall it. The hopefully broken aspect of the game will have been fixed allowing uninstall.

If that doesn't work we will have to maybe manually delete the files:
  • Download RevoUninstaller
  • Double click the file you just downloaded to run it
  • Follow the instructions to install
  • Run Revo
  • Find splinter Cell in the list and right click and select Uninstall.
See if that runs.
This process can then be repeated with Allied Assault.

If not then we will definitely have to remove it manually.
  • Again launch Revo
  • Find splinter Cell in the list and right click and select Remove Entry
  • Then do a search in Windows by clicking My Computer and then searching for Splinter Cell, Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow and Pandora Tomorrow.
  • Delete the folders it finds
This again can be done with Allied Assault

If you have any problems or questions :) then post back and I'll help you out :)
