I have a dell dimension 3000 that automatically rebooted itself a couple of weeks ago. Once it went through the rebooting process I got a blue screen that says: UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME at the bottom of the screen it says: ***STOP: 0x000000ED (0x8132FA40,0xc0000006,0x0000000,0x0000000). I tried to start in Safe Mode but it keeps going back to the blue screen. I bought a new CD-ROM drive today hoping to reinstall windows xp but got the following message:
IDE DRIVE DIAGNOSTICS
PRIMARY IDE: Drive 0: Maxtor 6Y080L0 Return Code: 7
Drive 1: NO IDE DEVICE

SECONDARY IDE: Drive 0: NO IDE DEVICE
Drive 1: NO IDE DEVICE

Test complete, Press <ENTER> to reboot :)
