When I go to log/sign on to some certain pages I go on like www.ebay.com and www.aol.com... certain links come up as page can not be displayed(not the webpage itsself but the log in webpages)... both of these are "http" and https" sites...

Anyone know what the problem might be?

Thanks

Is it only those 2 websites or others?
If its those 2, then you are having connection issues, its most likely spyware blocking your request for that particular website. https is a secure log in. Have you ran Ad-aware and spybot?

There is deffinitly something worng with my computer. The page can not be displayed only comes up when I try to log into websites that require me to enter and user name and password. For example when I go to www.ebay.com the page itsself comes up, but when I go to click sign in it says page cannot be displayed.... but these function work on my neighbors computer, so it is just mine.

I am having this same exact problem. When I go to a logon page at ebay, gmail, paypal, hotmail, etc. I get "the page cannot be displayed" message. It has been very frustrating but am very encouraged by your "HaHa! Solved" post. Can you advise what I need to do? I am running xp and ie6 with sp2

go into tools, then internet options, then security tab, then press the default level button...this will restore your security setting back to the orignal manufactures settings.

Good Luck
