So, my last computer died and I accepted that it was time to move onto another scrapped computer, this one was one my grandparents had used. They couldn't even get on it it had so many viruses/trojans/adware. I managed to get AVG and Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware on, and got over 200 files removed on Malwarebytes, and only a handful on AVG. Although both are good programs, I downloaded PC Pitstops Exterminate 2 to see if it caught anything else. It did, and I now have a list of things that need to get gone.

The list 'o doom:

MediaPass Loader X
FraudTool.Win32.WinAnti
Claria.Gain.CommonElements
Hotbar
IBIS.Websearch.Toolbar
NewDotNet
IBIS.WinTools
My Freeze / Your Screen
My Way Speed Bar
Quick! Search Bar

There may be a few more things, but I've never had to do one of these before. If you'll tell me in simple, monkey-terms, I'll be more than glad to follow every step. Thanks so much!

I suggest you go to the Malware Removal and Spyware Removal Forum and run all the steps located in the START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post the reguested logs in THAT forum. If you are unable to run any of the tools then start a new topic in the malware forum and put this in the subject line...I am unable to run any malware tools

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
