Help! When I log onto a user, there is no start menu or anything. All I see is my background on the laptop, but no programs or start menu or anything!!! I seem to be having the same problem as a different user in this forum (kat or something), and in that post someone said that it is a malware infection.

Please help me, I have tons of documents saved on my laptop and I can't afford to lose them, and i'm on windows xp. Is there any way to restore my computer and restore all my documents? PLEASE HELP!

Hello,

As you said, it could be a malware problem.. Move to the Malware Forum, making sure you read this before you post.

Also - try this:

Press(while at blank desktop):

CTRL + ALT + DEL

When the task manager comes up, try clicking New Task in the Applications tab. Open: explorer.exe

-Jason :)
