My wife has had Incredimail on her computer now for about 3 years with no problems. UNTIL the other day, when I went to her e-mail to check it for her ... I noticed that all the e-mails were not 'readable' but rather in code. I have no idea of why that happened, but being the smart guy I am, I thought that I should re-install Incredimail (instead of uninstalling and then installing not wanting to lose her e-mails).

I got about 75% through the install and got this error message

Failed to access file C:\Documents and Settings\MOM\Local Settings\TEMP\ImInstaller\Incredimail\IncredimailSetup_d.exe
Please check disk space, permissions, etc.

Can someone please help me here?

I have incredimail as well. Just the other day I had the same issue and it prompted me to go to the incredimail homepage and download the free upgrade "incredmail xp". It's cempletely free. I believe the older version recieved some viruses to where people could steal identities and such. SO they upgraded as a way to start over.

Have you tried uninstalling it first? Uninstall then gor to the web site and install the xe. if you uninstall and click "reinstall" without going to the site, then it will try to reinstall the old one still when you need the free upgraded one.

To be able to uninstall the program, I needed a special file (I'm assuming a repair file) from Incredimail and then I reinstalled it.

I don't know if that worked because the wife finally decided to just delete all the e-mails (that were 'corrupted') in her inbox and now she has no problems at all.

Thanks for all your help, do you think I should mark this as solved? even though it wasn't your help that solved it?

Yes, mark solved in order to close the discussion. I'm so sorry to hear you were unable to see for sure, but I hope I was able to guide you in the right direction anyway. And your very welcome. Glad I could attempt to help.

This problem was solved ... actually by my wife. She simply deleted all the corrupted e-mails in her inbox and now everything is working just fine .... thanks to all!

Thanks Honey!
