Ok, I recently had a MAJOR hard drive crash/problem/reinstall, where a fine member of G2G helped me with that one. We're still not TOTALLY finished, as he's going to have me do some "house cleaning" later this afternoon. In the meantime, I hope someone in this forum can help me with a game situation.

I had a game on the old (I guess the word I'm suppose to use is "partition"?). So,.....I took the game folder over to the new partition, and attempted to run it. I got an error/alert that says:

Unable to locate Component

This application has failed to start because d3dx9_33.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

Well,....I attempted to reinstall and still got the same error?

Hmmmm??

Should I wait until I'm 100% finished with "house cleaning"? Any/all help or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

you need to update your directx.

Go to http://www.microsoft...;displaylang=en
to download the latest version. Let it run as it will update any and all components as needed.

Will do. Thank you!

I'll give a follow up reply as to the status after the update.
