When I connect to Internet Explorer on my laptop I get the opening page but when I try to open another website it seizes up. If I position the laptop near the router which is connected to my main computer it works fine, does this indicate a signal weakness from the router ?
As an aside, the laptop battery is just about exhausted and doesn't hold charge for too long, could this be a clue ? and could I operate the laptop on mains power with the battery removed without risking any damage ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Goldenbrown
